For many years, I have found that a lot of the Mental Performance issues I work with professional athletes to overcome could have been eradicated with better focus and support on their mental well-being through childhood and adolescence. Amateur sport can be a challenging environment for junior athletes and even those with no ‘evident' issues during their formative years can still be impacted hugely by events during those years that play out dramatically in later life. I'm keen to be able to support parents to help them understand Mental Performance better and have a positive impact on the mental wellbeing of their children. As a former teacher, Cognitive function specialist, mental health first aider and qualified Mental Performance coach, I want to be able to share my knowledge and experience with parents to give them the tools and information to support their children to maximise their true potential. I want to give you the tools to help your children THRIVE, not just survive. The MG1 Elite Academy is a Facebook group for parents just like you who are focussed on supporting the sporting potential of their children.
